This self-guided canoe trip has it all. You’ll spend your first two nights at Whitewater Lodge in comfortable accommodations complete with 24-hour electricity, sand beach and sauna. From there, you’ll start heading east, paddling until you reach Ogoki Lodge to camp for your first night on the land.

With the next night on the land as well, you’ll spend the rest of your trip paddling, detouring for a shore lunch, and learning about the incredible history of the area, including a stop at Best Island to explore where Wendell Beckwith spent his days.

For your final two nights, Striker’s Point Lodge will be your last destination, a full service lodge on the east end of the lake. Enjoy hot coffee delivery in the morning, spend the day on the many beaches in the area or wet a line. Finish your day with some cocktails and a hearty, made from scratch meal.

Muyuna: located on the Yanayacu River, near the Tamshiyacu-Tahuayo Regional Conservation Area, this well-established lodge offers river dolphin-listening excursions, and fishing. And they take their sustainability responsibilities seriously.

Tambopata Research Center is one of the remotest lodges in South America, and its location means that it is surrounded by pristine rainforest, containing abundant Amazon flora and fauna.

Nestled in the heart of Wabakimi Provincial Park, Dawn Lake Outpost is a deluxe cabin situated on a rock outcropping at the apex of this x-shaped lake. The cabin faces the southeast offering spectacular sunrise views. Several streams flow into this lake and these inlets are great areas for both walleye and northern.

Over the next couple days there will be plenty of time to start exploring the waters by motorised boat, canoe, or kayak, or simply walk along the shoreline and see what wildlife you can spot.
