Day 1 in Chennai

Fly into Chennai, capital of Tamil Nadu, on India's eastern edge. Relax in the Trident Chennai hotel, complete with pool, spa and tranquil gardens. If you're feeling adventurous, head into diverse Chennai for a taste of South Indian religion, art or cuisine — or simply have an indulgent dinner in one of the hotel's many restaurants.

Day 2–4 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

An early morning flight will take you across the Bay of Bengal to Port Blair, capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Explore the markets in the centre of town before taking a two-hour boat journey to the far-flung Havelock Island. Here, you can scuba dive and snorkel through coral reef, trek to the far-flung Elephant beach, hire a scooter to explore the island or simply relax on the beach outside your comfortable lodge.

Day 5 in Chennai

An early morning ferry will take you back to Port Blair, where you'll stop to visit the fascinating museum at the Cellular Jail, a colonial jail where many Indian political prisoners where exiled. Next, you'll fly back to Chennai and the Trident hotel for an overnight stop.

Day 6–8 in Ranthambore National Park

Take an early morning flight to Jaipur before winding your way through the Rajasthani countryside towards Ranthambore National Park, home to Rajasthan's famous tiger population. Staying in luxurious tented accommodation, you'll take two morning and two afternoon game drives searching for tigers, leopards, crocodiles and other wildlife. Make sure to look out for the gigantic banyan tree near Padam Tulao, which is said to be the second-largest in India.

This is the quintessential Rajasthani city.
