Their service is second to none and I highly recommend using them if you are considering a trip to Tajikistan. We had the most incredible trip with a small group of five in the Fann Mountains. Our guide, cook, and porters were friendly, professional, and highly competent. The equipment they provided were top quality. As a local company, they are able to offer flexibility and accommodate your needs unlike some more well known international operations who rely on local companies themselves. Communication (in English) was also excellent before, during, and after the trip.

Paramount Journey did a fantastic job organizing a relatively last minute trip to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan! Everything was exceptionally smooth, from the moment we landed in Dushanbe to being dropped off at the airport in Urgench. We had two parts of our trip, one guided section hiking the Fann mountains in Tajikistan, and one self-guided section in Uzbekistan.
They were incredibly flexible with our requests, helping us arrange a self-guided experience in Uzbekistan while still taking care of all the hotels and transportation and also taking into account my requests about the hiking route we would take while in Tajikistan. Also our mountain guide in Tajikistan was knowledgeable and a pleasure to hike with!

At 2019 me and my husband visited Tajikistan at the first time. We did the Chimtarga pass trek with paramount Journey. As we finished the trek we knew that we will come again to Tajikistan.
After 4 years we came! This time we did the Pamirs lake circuit, starting from Bachor village and finishing at Bulunkul village.it is a stunning 9 days trek, the wide valleys, the lakes, the glaciers, the colours and the remote atmosphere make this trek very unique! Do not skip Shtik Lazar pass and Chapdarkul lake!!! The drive to the start point on the Pamir highway is very intresting, you can see the Afgan villiges at the other side, we stopped for overnight at Kalai khomb, chorog and Bachor and learned alot from our guide , Humoyun, about history, culture and costoms of Tajikistan and central Asia. Our driver, Miraj, is a professional!! We felt in good hands and he was so kind and invited us for a stop at his home for tea and refreshments.
We had 4 team members during the trek: our guide, Humoyun, vohid, the cook, who made tasty and healthy meals and also gave us a lot from his knowledge about the area and Hursand and Rukstan from Bachor village who lead the donkey's and were so friendly!!!.
This whole team were lovely company!
Alovaddin was all the time behind the scence, getting reports from Humoyun that we are eatting well and feeling well and we appreciate that very much!
It was obvious for us that we will trek with Paramount Journey second time because with this company you get the best, you feel safe and you leave Tajikistan not just with the experience of the trek but also with a lot of knowledge about Tajikistan and central Asia.
So if you were thinking about visiting Tajikistan, Paramount Journey is the best choice!! We travelled with them twice!

I joined a 7-days trekking tour in the Fann mountains, including the lakes and the challenging Chimtarga pass.
First, Paramount was very reactive and flexible. They adapted the tour to my own schedule. The group was small (4 people).
Since this is a challenging trek, Paramount organizes donkeys and professional porters to carry most of your stuff. They also transfer the luggage you don t need for the trek to arrival.
The itinerary is very well conceived to make sure the trekkers are ready for the Chimtarga pass. A small "challenge", the Alauddin pass, on the second day of the trek, enables the guide and trekkers to check whether they are physically fit. Acclimatation to altitude is progressive and went very smoothly.
The guide, the cook and the porters know the Fann mountains extremely well and all questions, whether related to geology, animals, vegetation, culture, history, linguistics, received very rich and complete answers.
Moreover, we had the opportunity to enjoy homemade warm food every evening, which surely made de trek more enjoyable.
I highly recommend Paramount journey, this is a serious travel agency, which is dedicated to develop quality tourism in Tajikistan.

It was a wonderful experience: visit of Dushanbe and Iskanderkul lake, trek in the Fann Mountains, home stay in villages and visit of Samarkand (19 days).
The organization by Paramount Journey was excellent at all levels! From picking us up at the airport very early in the morning to drop us back in the middle of the night, everything was perfect. The drivers were very pleasant and careful, the hotels and the food were great, our guide Zikrio is very competent, speaks good English, attentive to the group's capacity, the days were very balanced. The cook, the donkey men and the porters were very good, we had very joyful evenings around a bond fire! Staying at the cook and donkey man village was a wonderful experience. The trek in the mountains is fabulous, hard but breathtaking!
The visit to Samarkand was very well organized: transport, the crossing of the border (an experience in itself!), very pleasant family hotel, excellent French speaking guide, good restaurants. The service is really all-included (except the tips and the alcohol). I very warmly recommend Paramount Journey.
