We used Amigo Treks for our trek to EBC in Sept-Oct 2021. The planning started in Mar-April 2021 in the middle of the pandemic so we had a ton of questions for Tika, our contact at Amigo in Kathmandu. He was always very prompt and detailed in answering all our questions which made it easy for most on the team to take a leap of faith and commit for the adventure. Tika also provided a contact of another patron from the past who was an avid adventure traveler who helped couple of us -who were still unsure about this trip - jump onboard.

The guides and the porters were all very helpful all along the way in the trek. The guides were Raju, Rajan and Hari. All of them were wonderful and very knowledgeable about the route, the procedures and everything about the EBC trek. Raju and Rajan were good at English but even though Hari lacked the command on the language he was equally knowledgeable about everything and the most funny guy on the team.

All the porters were wonderful. The only porter we got to talk to quite a bit was Padam and again he was very caring and always around to help even after carrying almost 10 times more than what each of us carried for so many hours. I've never seen these porters break a sweat for the work they did. It seemed like they were from a different planet.

All the accommodations and meals provided were good. As the trek was in the middle of the pandemic we were the only group in many of the Tea Houses so probably had the best possible experience with the cleanliness of the facilities and the quality of the food as well.

Pandemic has affected a lot of people around the world in many different ways. The livelihood of people in this part of the world depends on tourism which was immensely hurt. Our group was glad we could make the trip and make a small difference in the lives of all the folks at Amigo that were part of our trek.

If you are considering EBC trek please do consider Amigo Treks, you won't go wrong.

I recently returned from Nepal following a 100 mile hike of the Manaslu Circuit trek. My guide Janardan, did an excellent job along the way and Niti made all the arrangements making for incredible memories and experiences. This trek included spectacular scenery and was culturally very rich. Four years earlier, I had used Amigo for the Everest Base Camp trek so I knew I was in good hands as they took care of every detail. If you are looking for an exciting adventure, look no further than Amigo for an experienced, reasonably cost outfitter.

This was my second time booking with Amigo and my experience was even better this time round (didn't think it was possible). From the moment I reached out to Niti (customer service agent) I was looked after. The booking process was smooth, super quick (turned it around in less than 48 hours) and provided me all the information.

On arrival in Kathmandu I was greeted by my head guide Phurba Sherpa and what a lovely greeting it was.

The expedition to climb Kayjo Ri was nothing but spectacular and with some amazing mountaineer guides. I couldn't have been more pleased with the overall experience. Safety and caring for the client (me) was always front of mind which is put my mind at easy going into an activity of this kind.

Not only have would I recommend climbing this mountain but I would highly recommend Amigo. I will certainly be back again and will be booking with them.

Amazing trip made so much more enjoyable by my friends at Amigo.

My wife and I arranged a 9-day EBC trek with Amigo in May 2022 (after a 2-year COVID delay). We had to cut it short due to a health issue. But, wow, Amigos was fantastic - and Niti is just amazing! She patiently answered our endless questions for two years, made all of the arrangements seamlessly, and provided everything we needed to have a great trek. When we had to cut it short, she promptly arranged the helicopter to bring us back down, made new hotel reservations for us in Kathmandu, and even sat with us for half an hour (with her colleague Dennis) helping us get through to United to reschedule our flight home. I have never experienced such extraordinary service before. Our guide Navaraj (Nava) Thapa was kind, patient, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. (Thanks, Nava! ) And our porter, Jari, was a modern Hercules who didn't even flinch when we brought WAY too much stuff. If you want to trek to EBC, we HIGHLY recommend Amigo!

Normally we do not write reviews, though in this case we had such a great experience that we want to praise Amigo Treks & Expedition as well as our guide Hari Adhikari.

Amigo Treks & Expedition is a professional organization with quick and clear responses to questions, as well being available 24/7 before, during and after the trek. They even took the time to book additional flights to Chitwan National park as well arranging shuttle pick up and drop offs.

Our guide Hari Adhikari was amazing. He has so much knowledge about the route, as well the environment in which we’re hiking. Hari was really caring for us. He provided us with advise on what to wear at what moment, how to protect your self against the cold as well as how to deal with the altitude. This made the trip so much more enjoyable. Additional, Hari was able to arrange to best stays along the treks, as well as fixing broken zippers of jackets and even carrying days packs if needed.

If you decide to do a beautiful trekking with Amigo Treks & Expeditions, than we would for sure advise to have Hari as your guide!

I did the EBC trek together with my girlfriend in April 2022. Amigo Treks & Expedition was our trip provider in Nepal. In short they were fantastic from A to Z. Everything was professionally executed and we felt that we really mattered as their clients. Mr. Suman Amgai was our main guide and he delivered a fantastic job along with his co-guides. We felt secure and well looked after through-out the trip. I can really recommend Amigo Treks & Expedition for your trips to Nepal.
