Kuro Tarangire

Kuro Tarangire consists of six large safari tents which are spaced out to ensure ample privacy. The rooms are made of canvas and thatch and we particularly like how open and light the tents are, afforded by mesh screens with curtains which can be pulled, or left open to enjoy the rays of morning sunlight warming the room.

As well as a large bed, both indoor and outdoor bucket showers can be found in the tent and a private verandah.

The cosy main area is open-sided allowing for fantastic views and wildlife watching from the camp. It has a dining area and lounge furnished with hides, canvas and a few colourful textiles.

Arusha Coffee Lodge

The lodge has undeniably gorgeous suites and rooms scattered throughout the coffee trees, with wonderful gardens, sun & shade spots and luxury amenities.

Decorated in coffee hues, each space is warm and inviting with wooden beams and a canopy bed. Suites have a rainfall shower, large bathtub, outdoor terrace with a log fire, and a 32” TV. Deception Valley Lodge

Oddballs' Enclave

This is a small camp and it really feels as though it isn’t imposing on the stunning environment surrounding it, which we love.

The main area consists of a cosy central deck which has plenty of seating options for relaxing and taking in the views, there is a semi-open dining area to one side and a lounge to the other. The lodge is full of character and fun details, such as the hanging seats made from half a traditional wooden mokoro.

The tents themselves have everything that you need but aren’t over the top and it is fair to say that they are on the more basic side of the tented camps that you will find in Botswana. However, we think they are just the perfect blend of comfort and adventure. Each meru style tent is raised off the ground on elevated wooden decks, giving you lovely views to appreciate from the private deck and accompanying directors’ chairs. Inside there are double or twin beds, a hanging rack, a lockable chest and various lamps. The outside bathroom is brilliant, especially the open-air shower giving you the chance to soak up the views, even from here.

Chobe Bakwena Lodge

Bakwena’s main area and all 15 rooms are built on raised decks to make the most of it’s riverfront location. It is a secluded oasis hidden away among the riverine forest. The lodge has been crafted in an ecologically responsible way and this was of upmost important to the owners. The chalets were built utilising the ecobeam method which uses a pole structure and sandbag infill, which not only is a good thermo regulator but it was one of the most eco-friendly methods available when constructing.

The 15 chalets are made up of ten “River View Chalets”, which all face the Chobe River, and five “Treetop Chalets”, which are raised on stilts 3m off the ground to give the feeling of being in the tree canopy. Within these rooms, there is one family room and a honeymoon chalet. Much care and thought has been taken over the details in decorating the rooms and they have a light, modern feel with authentic African touches.
