Cape Buffalo Masai Mara Kenya

Located between Tsavo and Amboseli National Park, Chyulu Hills is one of the lesser visited national parks in Kenya, but the rolling green hills of the volcanic field make it worth the visit.

Home to the Maasai herdsmen as well as a number of grazing species like buffalo, elephants, wildebeest and giraffes. Leopards and lions can also be spotted in the park, however the park is less of a wildlife hotspot with no permanent rivers but you can spend time camping, horse riding and bird watching.

Kibwezi town is located nearby, with a station for the Uganda railway and buses connecting local towns.

Bursting up above the hot red plains of Tsavo and Amboseli National Parks, the Chyulu Hills are a little visited, little known paradise of rolling green hills and forest. The wildlife can be a bit hit and miss but there are still plenty of grazers around plus there are opportunities to mingle with Maasai herdsmen, walk across pretty landscapes and visit lava tubes.
