Odyssey Safaris recently created a safari tripto Tanzania for us that included the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and both the central & northern portions of the Serengeti. Everything from when we were greeted at Kilimanjaro Airport to watching the migration at the Mara River was beyond our expectations . The accommodations whether they were lodges or tented camps (which we preferred because you could listen to lions, hyenas & zebras at night) were all above & beyond. However probably what made it truly memorable was the staff at each camp and in particular our guide Freddy who was so knowledgeable about the wildlife & where to locate them for best viewing. For anyone considering a trip of a lifetime I can’t tell you how great Odyssey was in setting everything up .

Our trip to South Africa was wonderful!

All of the guides arrived on time (actually, usually early). They were friendly and professional. Guyguy picked us up at Cape Town airport and was very helpful in getting us oriented.

We had a good day touring Cape Town and then the Cape Peninsula the next two days. Portswood Hotel was very nice. Good breakfast. Nice facility. V&A Waterfront was an excellent location with lots to do and good restaurants. We enjoyed dinners at TimeOut Market, Gold Restaurant (a short Uber ride) and Den Anker. (I definitely would not recommend downtown hotels in terms of location.) Shiraz was a good guide both days.

Winery e-bike was fun but I think that day could have had more activity. We just went to Zevenwacht which was nice and we enjoyed riding bikes around the vineyards. Moses was a good guide.

Moses took us to the Cape Town airport the next day for our flight to Hodspruit. Our guide was there to transfer us to Shiduli.

We loved the Shiduli experience. Saw the Big 5 plus many other animals. Guides were great. Food delicious. Staff lovely and friendly. The property itself was fine but it could use a little sprucing up. Felt a bit dated.

Simon drove us to Angels View which is a beautiful contemporary hotel. We were in a lovely, large, smartly furnished room. Meals at the restaurant have been delicious. Simon also did our Panorama Route tour which we thoroughly enjoyed. Great pancake lunch at Harries in Graskop.

We were fortunate to have very nice weather. No rain. Cool in Cape Town. Hot but not too hot inland.

Must commend Odyssey on the planning and information provided in advance of the trip. The restaurants and Shiduli and Angels View were even aware of our dietary preferences! So impressive!!! The trip was a wonderful value for the money. The TravelKey app was very helpful and everything went according to plan. Bravo!!!

We'd like to thank you for planning an excellent vacation on our behalf. I would recommend Odyssey to anyone interested in an African vacation. And I would be delighted to use your company once again as well.

Odyssey Safari’s turned our “vacation” into a lifetime of memories. We handed them our wishlist and they made it happen. There were a few bumps in the road along the way because of the airline personnel shortage but Odyssey stepped in and sorted airline as well as safari schedules.

Our time with our guide Erastus will long be a favorite memory. His knowledge, patience, service and friendly demeanor enhanced the awe inspiring landscape of animals and adventure.

Odyssey was recommended to us by a friend and I will unreservedly recommend them to anyone.

We recently took a 10 day private safari to Kenya with Odyssey Safaris. There were 11 of us including family and friends on this safari. From the time we interacted with Mark and Lucy to set out the itinerary to the various conversations we had prior to the trip, we knew that Odyssey would provide the best services possible. The entire experience was amazing. The hotel and camp accommodations, food, transportation and game drives were superbly organized and top class. The guides, Simon and Jackson, were super knowledgeable and very accommodating of the requests. We were able to witness all the Big 5 and more animals, various bird species and the natural scenery in the Amboseli National Park, Lake Naivasha and the Masaai Mara National Park. We would highly recommend Odyssey Safaris for anyone thinking of organizing such Safari trips.

Odyssey Safari and our guide, Stephen, provided us with a wonderful, informative and complete experience. Our travel, lodging and game drives were all expertly managed.All of our special requests, and all of the details, were taken care of and we were able to relax and enjoy our experience.

Booked a last minute Safari to Kenya, to take advantage of terrific airfares from the States and to get ahead of the crowds, once people rush back to Africa to see the amazing wildlife, geography, and kind people. Odyssey navigated every detail - took the time to interview me and match what they learned to the type of accommodations and safari experience I was looking for. On a scale of 1-10, in multiple factors, they scored 10 each time - it was a flawless (and relaxing) trip.

What can I say! I definitely am blown away by Odyssey Safari. Before even arriving to Kenya Lucy was prompt in emailing us back and forth regarding the safari and what we would need for our visit. Everything was wonderful from the moment we were picked up from the airport by our tour guide Jackson who was on time at the airport and was waiting with a sign with our names on it. Jackson was great as our safari driver! We were able to see all big five animals up close and person. Jackson made sure that we had an incredible visit on our safari from the game rides to make sure we were comfortable in the lodges we stayed at. I will definitely be back again and will be requesting Jackson as my tour guide.

I would also highly recommend Odyssey Safaris for anyone looking to go to Africa. The hotels were clean, and considering that they had been closed for a year, they were in good order. The food was good and every member of the staff I encountered at each hotel, were kind and helpful. I will direct others who wish to go on a safari to your company. I have a few friends who are now looking to arrange a safari! Thank you for your exemplary organization of our safari and for having an amazing guide on staff.

We just returned how from one of the most incredible journeys I have every experienced, and I have explored hundreds of cities around the globe. An African Safari has always been a lot the top of my “must do” list, but timing and the expense have always held me back.

My takeaways for those considering the trip: 1) Odyssey Safaris was a pleasure to work with, and we will book more trips through them 2) Take advantage of the upgrades and excursions — they only add to the experience and your ability to relax and truly envelop yourself, and 3) Have an open mind — Hakuna Matatta.

It was the trip of a lifetime! Odyssey made everything seamless and stress free. They provided such a list of extra things to do- the tours were top notch, hotel accommodations and food were above and beyond!!!
