Spanish PyreneesCan part of our group join a Pyrenees hike for just a few days instead of the full week?
My friend and I are very keen on the Pyrenees Village to Village hiking tour, or the Discover Ordesa hiking tour. We're very active and happy to hike long distances with big ascents and descents each day. We're also hoping to meet up with a group of four friends for some hiking in the area, but they would only have time for a 3–4 day hike. Would it be possible for them to join for a section of the trip, rather than the full 8 days? We'd likely all be flying in and out of Barcelona.
If you'd like to hike for a week but have part of the group join for only part of the time, your best option is probably the self-guided Village to Village hike in the Valle de Tena, with your friends doing a shortened version.
Alternatively, if you'd like to see both Ordesa and the Valle de Tena, you could do a guided private group in Ordesa for the section when you're all together, then move across to the Valle de Tena and do a shortened version of the Village to Village hike for the part when there are just two of you. This is a great way to see two areas: you get the benefit of a guide at the start to explain the area, its history, and wildlife, and then some self-guided hiking afterwards.
