We were a group of four friends trekking the Annapurna Circuit, including the Thorung La Pass crossing, and our experience with this company was truly great. From the initial planning to the final day of the trek, everything was handled with professionalism, care, and remarkable attention to detail.
Before we even arrived in Nepal, Madhav, one of the co-founders of Mosaic Adventure agency, impressed us with his speed of response, honest approach, and excellent organizational skills. Every question was answered clearly and quickly, and he helped shape an itinerary that balanced adventure, safety, and comfort. His straightforward communication gave us confidence long before the trek began.
We travelled with two guides (Pralhad and Kumar) and two porters (Ram and Santosh). Each day’s plan was thoughtfully structured, and the guides kept us informed about trail conditions, weather, and altitude considerations. Their expertise made a challenging route feel manageable and enjoyable.
Unfortunately, due to heavy snowfall, the trail to Tilicho Lake was officially closed during our trek. While we were initially disappointed, our guides handled the situation brilliantly. They offered a thoughtful and well-organized alternative: instead of attempting Tilicho Lake, we continued directly toward Thorung La Pass and then spent an additional day in Muktinath. This turned out to be a wonderful change of plans — Muktinath is full of cultural and spiritual significance, and we truly enjoyed the extra time trekking around the area and sightseeing. In the end, we had no regrets at all about missing Tilicho Lake.
Midway through the trek, one of our friends began feeling unwell on the way up to Thorung Phedi. The way the guides handled this situation showed their true professionalism. We decided to split into two groups: my husband and I continued upward with the guide Kumar, while Pralhad accompanied our sick friend and another companion back down to Manang so they could rest and recover safely. Thanks to the excellent management and coordination of Mosaic staff — everything went smoothly. Our friend received the rest and care they needed, and two days later they were healthy enough to continue the ascent and successfully cross the Thorung La pass. This outcome was only possible due to the team’s patience, experience, and thoughtful decision-making.
For my husband and I who continued upward, our guide Kumar made the journey unforgettable. His encouraging smile, constant attention to our needs, and positive energy kept us motivated even on the toughest sections. We are incredibly grateful to him — not only for his professionalism and guidance, but also for all the fun moments and laughter we shared along the way. He played a huge role in making the trek feel joyful and memorable.
A special mention also goes to our porters Ram and Santosh, whose strength, dedication, and positive spirit carried us through long days on the trail. Their contribution was invaluable.
Overall, our Annapurna Circuit trek was safe, memorable, and exceptionally well organized. Madhav’s leadership, along with the professionalism of our guides and porters, created an experience we will always treasure. I would highly recommend Mosaic to anyone planning to trek in Nepal.
