Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park

Home of Cradle Mountain, this world heritage listed national park, situated northwest of the state capital of Hobart, is a popular area for hiking and walking, with tracks exploring the range.
The popular Overland Track runs through the park, taking in highlights such as Cradle Mountain, Barn Bluff, Mount Ossa and Lake St Clair, with huts to stay in along the way.
Tasmanian devils, as well as echidnas and quolls roam the park as well as there being a devils conservation centre near the entrance. The park has a diverse range of climates, with alpine areas as well as rainforests covering the landscape, allowing for a range of endemic and more widespread species to thrive.
