Muddy Boots is a family run business that arranges self-guided walking holidays and guided ‘Discovery Walks’ throughout the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We live, work and are raising a young family in the Dales, and our aim is to help others to discover everything the area has to offer, not just the well-known hot spots.
Having spent several years living and working in London before our move to the Dales we know only too well how important having a break outdoors in the countryside can be for health and wellbeing. We are here to ensure that you can make the most of the time you have in the Dales.

We had a great time, it was lovely to be out in the fresh air and open countryside with stunning views! We enjoyed the combination of activity and relaxation, it felt like a really long break even though it was only a few days. We didn’t have to worry about anything, everything was seamless, we had no problems at all. I will definitely be looking at the website to arrange another break in the future!

We really enjoyed the trip and it has been great to feel like we’ve been communicating with a real person who cares, rather than just a salesperson with a big company! The wonderful Yorkshire Dales landscapes were the highlight of the trip and the route notes provided were clear and easy to follow.

The routes included on this trip were absolutely outstanding - we loved them all! The route notes provided were spot on and it was great to feel that we were exploring areas that don’t see many crowds. We all enjoyed the fantastic food and drink available at our accommodation at the end of each day out in the hills!

On overnight or multi-day holidays: A transfer back to your first accommodation to collect your car or the station where required and luggage transfer between your accommodation so you don’t have to carry your bags while you walk. |
